Understand the exact mineral profile of your water. On-site chemical analysis for TDS, calcium, magnesium, and iron to calibrate your softener.
You cannot configure or size a water softener system without knowing the exact mineral load of the feed water. Many properties in Jaipur, Ajmer, and Pushkar rely on different borewells, each yielding highly diverse mineral concentrations. Sizing a system on assumptions leads to two common problems: either the system is undersized, letting scale bleed through, or it is oversized, causing you to waste money on unnecessary salt regeneration cycles.
At Anjani Traders, our technicians carry professional chemical titration kits to perform on-site water testing. We determine the exact grains-per-gallon (GPG) or parts-per-million (PPM) hardness levels, allowing us to configure your water softener with precision.
Using EDTA chemical titration, we measure the precise combined concentration of calcium and magnesium. Hardness levels in Jaipur and Ajmer typically range from 300 PPM (Moderately Hard) to over 1000 PPM (Extremely Hard). This value dictates the exact amount of resin media your softener needs.
Using digital conductivity meters, we measure the total concentration of inorganic salts dissolved in the water. High TDS water requires specific system calibrations, and if it exceeds 1500-2000 PPM, we recommend RO membrane filtration alongside softening.
Iron is a severe contaminant that stains bathroom fittings and permanently damages (fouls) softener resin. We test for soluble iron (ferrous) and particulate iron (ferric) to determine if your system requires a pre-treatment iron remover filter or specific resin cleaners.
• 0 - 60 PPM: Soft (No treatment required)
• 61 - 120 PPM: Moderately Hard (Minor spot staining on glassware)
• 121 - 180 PPM: Hard (Softener recommended to protect geysers/laundry)
• 180+ PPM: Extremely Hard (Softener is essential to prevent pipe clogging)
